The
Student
Services Department assists students to meet
their educational and individual needs while attending SIIT.
Student Services helps students accomplish their academic goals
by providing support,
advice,
counselling,
and planning.
After
registering in an SIIT program, new, returning and transfer
students participate in orientation
sessions at their respective locations. Orientation provides
students with necessary information on registration requirements
and maintaining student status, assistance with financial aid,
testing, study skills, and campus and community facilities.
Contact Student Services for information on your application
or student status.
If
you require advice or counselling assistance, community Elders
visit the site locations on a regular or request basis. Contact your
student counsellor for information about speaking with
an Elder.
Students
may become involved in various student-directed,
extra-curricular activities while attending an
SIIT location. Participation in student organisations and activities
such as fundraising, guest speakers, or graduation committees
can be a positive learning experience.
There
are many events and learning opportunities to look forward to
throughout the academic year. Enjoy your experience as an SIIT
student!
