Certificate in Career Pathing

The Certificate in Career Pathing (CCP) program trains development officers or those who wish to pursue careers in Aboriginal employment development work or other related fields. The program's eight on-line modules offer a range of techniques and theoretical approaches that complement the work performed within First Nations and non First Nations employment agencies and career centres. CCP learners participate in knowledge and skill building activities that assist with job requirements for career counsellors, education counsellors, social development workers, program coordinators, managers, administrators, administrative assistants, and others.

Educational Assistant

The Online Educational Assistant Program prepares students to assist and support the teacher(s) in the classroom from kindergarten to high school. Students learn skills to work with children; individually, in small groups or with the entire class. Many teacher assistants work with students who have special needs. A focus on exceptionalities will be included. The skills students develop help assist the children in the classroom to meet their educational requirements. The program has some transferability into the University of Saskatchewan's Indian Teachers Education Program (ITEP).

Orientation to Daycare and Headstart

The program is designed to provide the minimum level of training and skill development required for entry-level work as a child care worker in licensed First Nations child care centres. The training outcomes of the program are comparable with related provincial training programs in order to facilitate employment of First Nations child care workers within both First Nation and provincial jurisdictions.
