Graduation
Once you have completed your program, you will receive a graduation certificate or diploma. Here are a few things you need to know about graduating from SIIT. Graduation ceremonies are held each year in June.
Preparing for Graduation
Consult your Program Coordinator
- Graduation does not happen automatically when you complete your Certificate or Diploma.
- Understand what the requirements are for completing your program.
- Talk to your program's Dean or Coordinator to access your academic standing. Do this before you apply to graduate.
Course requirements vary from program to program, but you must have
- successfully completed all course requirements,
- have a minimum cumulative average (usually 60%), and
- have paid in full all tuition and any other fees.
Graduation Timeline and Checklist
- Arrange for your gown and cap rental one month before graduation.
- Arrange for photos in advance, either at a professional studio or making sure someone you know brings a camera.
- If you are attending the ceremony, RSVP and order tickets for yourself and any guests.
- If you are not attending the ceremony, contact us for more information about how to get a copy of your Diploma or Certificate.

Additional Tickets
Additional tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact us to request additional tickets.
Caps and Gowns

Application Form
In order to graduate from SIIT, you need to fill out an Graduation Application Form. For graduation in June, your application form must be completed and submitted to the Office of the Registrar on or before May 31 of that year.
Graduation Day
Graduation ceremonies take place once a year in June. Make sure to arrive at least one hour before the program starts.
Diplomas & Certificates
Your official program diploma or certificate will be presented to you at the Graduation Ceremony. If you do not attend your graduation, you may pick up your diprloma or certificate in person from the Registrar's Office or arrange to have it mailed to you.
If you have lost your diploma or certificate, you can ask to have it replaced for a fee.
